The US market research agency CIRP has released an interesting survey report. The main purpose of this report is to understand how quickly users replace and repair their iPhones, iPads or Macs when they are damaged, lost or stolen; One of the data in the survey was to investigate the importance of this type of equipment for different age groups, but the results showed that young users who were considered inseparable from their mobile phones in the past were less willing to send their equipment for repair when it was damaged.
In the report, CIRP surveyed users over 18~65 years old, and divided these users into 6 age groups (18~24 years old, 25~34 years old, 35~44 years old, 45~54 years old, 55~64 years old , and over the age of 65).
The survey results show that 59% of the 18-24-year-old group will send for repairs or replace their iPhones “immediately/on the same day” or “within a day or two” when their devices are damaged.
Although the figure of 59% does not seem low, when the iPhone is damaged, 90% of the 55-64-year-old group will send it for repair or replacement “immediately/on the same day” or “within a day or two”; 45-54 The age group has nearly 89% of the proportion.

In the past, most people would accuse young people of being addicted to using smartphones. They may intuitively think that young people are more afraid of mobile phone damage than any other age group and have to send it for repair immediately. This idea came into being after comparing it with the CIRP report. Interesting gap.
However, there may be other considerations in sending a mobile phone for repair. CIRP also admits that sending a mobile phone for repair or replacement involves “whether you have the money to do it”, “whether you are near an Apple Store or an Apple authorized repair shop”, “whether you have a spare machine” and other factors.
CIRP’s data also shows that whether it’s the speed of iPhone, iPad or Mac repairs, older users are faster and more active than younger users.
