Volvo executives confirm the EX30 small pure electric SUV model has a range of 439 kilometers

At present, the XC40 Recharge small SUV is Volvo’s smallest electric car model. Stephen Connor, the general manager of the Australian region of the Swedish car factory, revealed in September that the company plans to launch a pure electric SUV smaller than the XC40 Recharge. Now it has finally been confirmed by Volvo CEO Håkan Samuelsson that the new car will not only be launched after the EX90, but will also belong to a new car series.

According to foreign media reports, the above-mentioned new small pure electric SUV is believed to be called EX30 based on Volvo’s new naming method in EX90. It is reported that the Volvo EX30 will use the SEA platform of the parent company Geely Group, which is to share the same platform as the Smart #1. The battery life of the EX30 is expected to be the same as or higher than that of the Smart #1, that is, at least 439 kilometers.

In recent years, many car manufacturers have chosen to produce in China, and Volvo is no exception. Håkan Samuelsson said that the EX30 has a great chance of being assembled in China like Smart #1, and it may even be the only production line for the car.
