Urban Tech Story | Twitter starts sending layoff notices

This may be the first transparent layoff. Twitter sent an email notification to all employees, informing them that they would receive an email at 9:00 a.m. PST (24:00 Beijing time) on Friday whether they were being laid off. If work is not affected, employees will be notified via their personal Twitter email; if work is affected, employees will be notified of next steps from their personal email, the notice said. If an employee has not received an email from twitter-hr@ by 5pm PST, please send an email to xxxxxxxx. To ensure the safety of employees and Twitter systems and customer data, corporate offices will be temporarily closed and all entry tokens will be suspended.
