Employees who remain at the company fear being fired before November 1, when the stock is given away. Musk himself has denied the rumors. For code reviews, managers were told that Musk wanted their programming speed and efficiency to meet his demands, and he would weed out engineering managers who no longer wrote code as often. Musk also changed Twitter’s homepage, redirecting pages visited by unlogged users to an Explore page that showcases trends and news stories.
