Rapper Kanye West and conservative social media Parler reached an acquisition agreement. West’s current name is Ye. The move will help individuals freely express conservative views, the two sides said in a statement on Monday. The acquisition agreement did not disclose financial terms. Parler will be sold in its entirety to Kanye West, while Parler service provider Parlement Technologies will continue to provide technical support, including the use of its private cloud services and data center facilities. The acquisition is expected to close later this year. “In a world where conservative views are considered controversial, we must ensure the right to free expression,” West said in a statement.
