To accelerate the development of cloud-native Flink services, Confluent acquired stream processing startup Immerok

Enterprise-level Kafka streaming service provider Confluent announced that it has officially acquired Immerok, an Apache Flink service provider, with the goal of providing fully managed Flink services on its cloud platform Confluent Cloud. Confluent is expected to launch the first Flink product on Confluent Cloud later this year, starting with SQL support, and allow Kafka and Flink to work seamlessly together, so that users do not need to individually manage independent systems.
