by Information security company Proofpoint is investigating the recent activities of TA444, a hacker group sponsored by the North Korean government. Since 2017, TA444 has been actively stealing cryptocurrency assets, and will try more attack methods in 2022. So far, it has successfully stolen more than one billion U.S. dollars. The researchers mentioned that the main motive of the group’s crimes is financial gain, and its infection chains are diverse, which can be said to be a microcosm of the entire cybercrime threat field.
