The health big data sustainable platform plan jointly promoted by the National Science Council, the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and the Ministry of Economic Affairs has entered its third year this year. The Ministry of Health and Welfare reported the results at the National Science Council today, revealing the current status of the plan. In terms of thematic databases, a lung cancer themed database was launched in February this year, and the next step is to plan a breast cancer database. In view of the fact that domestic health data is scattered in different units and databases, the plan promotes a health big data platform, adopts the HL7 FHIR international data exchange format as a unified standard, and refers to mCODE for the cancer theme data column to promote the theme database of health big data and analyze. Liu Mingxun, technical supervisor of the Science and Technology Development Group of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, pointed out that a lung cancer-themed database has been established, integrating health insurance, cancer registration, cause of death, and lung cancer research master files, with a total of more than 318,000 records. The lung cancer-themed database has been launched this year. In February, it was put on the shelves at the Information Technology Center of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, accepting applications, and is currently building a breast cancer-themed database.
