When the iPhone 13 Pro was launched last year, some users have found that the phone cannot match the original accessory MagSafe Duo charger because the camera module on the back of the phone is too large. In the iPhone 14 Pro released last month, the size of the camera module has been further increased, and the situation that it does not correspond to the MagSafe Duo is more obvious.
A user posted on Apple’s official support page, pointing out that the iPhone 14 Pro cannot fully correspond to the MagSafe Duo, and the prominent large-size camera module prevents the back of the phone from being able to fit tightly against the MagSafe Duo’s wireless charging ring. Although it can still be charged in the case of bare metal, if you use the protective case, you may need to remove it before charging. Only the iPhone 14 Pro model is affected, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max can correspond to MagSafe Duo normally because of its larger body size.
The MagSafe Duo launched in 2020 can wirelessly charge the iPhone and Apple Watch at the same time, but it cannot perfectly correspond to the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro, and does not support the fast charging function of Apple Watch Series 7, Series 8 and Ultra.
