Spotify is about to close its own independent product, Spotify Live, which has the same function and design as Clubhouse, mainly to provide users with a platform for voice interaction and live broadcast activities with other listeners. The Spotify Live standalone app, launched in July 2022, integrates with the Spotify music catalog, allowing users to live stream music directly in chat rooms. Originally considered a strong competitor to Clubhouse and Twitter Spaces, allowing fans to engage in events more instantly. However, now Spotify has announced the discontinuation of Spotify Live and said they will focus on existing products and services, further improving and expanding other products.
