Samsung has announced the global rollout of a maintenance mode that works on select Samsung Galaxy phones to prevent personal data or photos from being leaked when the device is sent for repair. Samsung previously tested the repair mode in South Korea and launched it first in China. Service Mode allows users to block access to personal information such as photos, messages or contacts when the Galaxy device is sent for repair, ensuring user privacy.
