A few days ago, Xiaomi released two wearable devices, the Redmi Watch 3 smart watch and the Redmi Band 2 sports bracelet. Redmi Watch 3 has a large screen as its selling point, while Redmi Band 2 has undergone major changes compared to the first generation released in 2020. The body is not only lighter and thinner, but the screen display area has increased by 76%.
Redmi Watch 3 is equipped with a 1.75-inch square AMOLED screen, 341ppi and 60Hz refresh rate, with a maximum brightness of 600 nits, and supports the Always-On Display function. The factory provides more than 200 watch faces for users to choose from. There is a physical button on the right side of the watch body. In addition to the basic functions of ordinary smart watches, Redmi Watch 3 also has full-time heart rate and blood oxygen monitoring, 5 ATM waterproof, 121 sports modes, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth voice calls, SOS emergency calls and 12 days of long battery life.
The Redmi Band 2 is only 9.99mm thick, weighs only 14.9g, has a 1.47-inch screen, supports WeChat and Alipay offline payment, and provides more than 30 sports modes. It also has 5 ATM waterproof capability and blood oxygen, heart rate and sleep monitoring. Fang claims the battery can last up to 14 days. Redmi Watch 3 is priced at RMB 499 (approximately HK$588), while Redmi Band 2 is priced at RMB 169 (approximately HK$189). The former is already on sale, and the latter is expected to be available in January. Redmi has not yet announced its overseas launch arrangements.
