Rare cancer Apple Watch saves girl’s life after warning of high heart rate – Hong Kong unwire.hk

The American news website Hour Detroit recently reported that a 12-year-old girl in Detroit, Imani Miles, saved her life because of her Apple Watch. The girl’s mother, Jessica Kitchen, said that one day Imani’s Apple Watch suddenly issued a never-before-seen warning that her daughter’s heart rate was abnormally high, and the warning kept repeating.

Seeing that the situation was special, the mother sent her daughter to the hospital for medical treatment. It turned out that Imani was suffering from appendicitis and needed to be surgically removed immediately, but the story has not yet come to an end. Kitchen pointed out that doctors found a tumor in Imani’s cecum, which is quite rare in children, so further tests turned out to be cancer cells that had spread to other parts of Imani’s body.

Fortunately, after a series of operations, Imani’s cancer cells were finally removed, and now he is in the recovery stage. Kitchen told Hour Detroit that if her daughter didn’t wear an Apple Watch, there’s a good chance she’d delay getting medical attention, and the situation could be much worse than it is now.
