Or prepare for iPhone 15 launch, UK Apple Store employees are not allowed to take leave on certain days

Employees at the Apple Store in Milton Keynes, UK, have been told not to take time off from September 15, 2023 to October 7, 2023, and December 2, 2023, to early January 2024. Let people speculate whether flagship products, such as the iPhone 15 series, will be released in these two days. Or there are major events during Christmas and New Years, so employees are prohibited from taking vacations.

Store managers claim the order came from the top, but retail employees aren’t sure exactly where the order is at Apple. The store said it has informed staff about the busy times to ensure the store is ready for next year. The store manager also revealed that the application for vacation during this period will not be authorized directly by the store manager, but will need to be submitted to Apple for approval.

Apple typically prohibits employees from taking time off before new product launches and during holidays, which is often communicated directly to employees via Apple internal communications at short notice. The news this time involves a one-year early leave plan. I believe that the number of people who have been notified is relatively limited.

However, the news indicates that the release date of the iPhone 15 series is highly unlikely to be determined a year in advance, and the new series still needs to undergo production verification tests, and the mass production schedule can only be confirmed after running in with the production chain. There may be new products on the market during these two periods, but not necessarily related to the iPhone 15 series.
