OpenStreetMap is blocked

An anonymous reader writes “OpenStreetMap, an online map collaboration program that allows users to edit, has some users and editors in China, and it has been blocked in recent days by DNS pollution and SNI detection (Blocky’s test results),” CCTV News said last month. “For a period of time, some overseas map service providers have induced domestic personnel to conduct illegal surveying and mapping activities on China’s important military targets and key infrastructure in the name of “open source sharing”, resulting in the leakage of China’s sensitive and classified geospatial information data. “That could be the reason for the shielding.”
