Digi announced that it has signed a 5G Single Wholesale Network (SWN) access agreement with Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB). The agreement will enable the company to enrich its current service portfolio by gradually deploying 5G retail services for consumer and enterprise customers.
By signing the agreement, Digi confirmed that it will subscribe to DNB’s 5G wholesale network for a period of 10 years to develop and deliver end-customer retail services, including 5G connectivity, 5G solutions and value-added services. With access to SNW, Digi expects 5G to gradually shift from a traditional network ownership model to a network lease model.

Three weeks ago, Digi signed a conditional share subscription agreement to acquire a 12.5% stake in DNB Corporation, which is responsible for deploying and managing the country’s 5G network, and to licensed mobile network operators (“MNOs”) Provide wholesale 5G services.
