In 2017, Microsoft began to provide Office 365, the subscription model of Office. In 2020, Microsoft renamed Office 365 to Microsoft 365 and began to push the subscription model. Now Microsoft has announced that all cloud-based Microsoft Office applications and the office.com website will be renamed to Microsoft 365. Microsoft also said it will continue to offer Microsoft Office 2021 and Office LTSC for a one-time fee. They won’t go away any time soon.
