Hu Weiwu, chairman of Loongson Zhongke, revealed at a recent event that Loongson’s fourth-generation products 3A6000 and 3A7000 will reach the mainstream product level in the market. The design of Loongson 3A6000 has been completed, and samples are expected to be released in the first half of 2023. Previous reports stated that the performance of the 3A6000 will reach the level of AMD Ryzen 5000 series CPUs and Intel 11th-generation Core CPUs that will be launched in 2020. The simulation test shows that compared with the previous generation 3A5000, the single-core SPEC CPU 2006 fixed-point score of the 3A6000 has increased by 37%, and the floating-point score has increased by 68%. Hu Weiwu said that he is committed to creating a software ecosystem that enables Chinese users to run more applications natively on the Godson ISA, rather than relying on other ISA simulations or translations.
