Hackers stole company code from GoDaddy and planted malware in hosting services for years

Website hosting and domain name registrar GoDaddy admitted last week that unknown individuals hacked into one of its hosting services years ago, resulting in the theft of the company’s code and the insertion of malicious programs that affected customers’ websites.
