Google AnnounceIts Chrome browser will stop supporting Windows 7/8.1 from February 2023. Chrome 110, scheduled to be released on February 7 next year, will end support for Windows 7/8.1, and user devices will need Windows 10 and above to run future versions of Chrome, according to a Google Chrome support manager. Google’s decision to end support is in line with Microsoft’s Windows lifecycle policy, with the software giant planning to end extended security update support for Windows 7/8.1 in January 2023. At present, Windows 7 still occupies more than 10% of the operating system market, while Windows 8.1 has only 2.7%.
