by Amazon’s streaming platform Prime Video announced that it will co-produce a live-action series based on the game “God of War” (God of War) with Sony Pictures Television and PlayStation Productions.
Prime Video stated that this series will be based on the new series of God of War. The story also begins with the protagonist Kratos obeying his wife’s last wish and taking his son to the highest peak in Northern Europe.
“God of War is a compelling game that we believe will captivate our global customers with its expansive and immersive world and rich storyline,” said Vernon Sanders, Amazon Studios Global Head of Television.
Katherine Pope, CEO of Sony Film and Television Studio, said that she is very proud and excited to partner with Prime Video and PlayStation Productions to adapt this game into a high-quality live-action drama.
At present, only the behind-the-scenes team members have been disclosed. For example, Rafe Judkins, who once served as the show coordinator of the series “The Wheel of Time”, served as the show host and executive producer, and worked in “Iron Man” and “Sons of Men”. Co-stars Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby serve as script and executive producers, while actors will be announced at a later date.
In addition to producing “God of War”, Prime Video also announced earlier that it will shoot a live-action episode of the game “Fallout”.
