More than 2 years after Apple’s Apple Silicon chip came out, Autodesk’s drawing design software AutoCAD and Maya can finally be executed on computers equipped with M1 and M2 chips. Autodesk announced this week that AutoCAD for Mac 2024 and AutoCAD LT for Mac 2024 can run natively on Intel and Apple Silicon architectures, including M1 and M2 chips, for the first time. Supporting Apple Silicon can increase the execution performance by up to 2 times compared with the 2023 version.
