Apple accused of violating EU privacy laws, could face €6m fine from France

Reuters reported that the CNIL, the French privacy authority, proposed this week that Apple should be fined 6 million euros (about 20 million Taiwan dollars) for alleged violations of the privacy law GDPR. The CNIL’s proposal came after it began investigating allegations last year by a French lobby group that Apple had collected personal data without users’ consent.
